I have a Testimony..
I have no clue what my deal is but for the last few months, and probably even before that, I have slowly been on a downward spiral spiritually. I believe in the gospel, I know that it is true, but my actions recently do not show it like I know they should. I think its mostly just being lazy. It's definitely the easier route not to follow the teachings of the church. So, I have decided that I am going to work harder at being a good person. I am a mother, wife, sister & daughter and I know that the church is true and my actions should reflect that. First, I will absolutely be more cautious with the words I use in my daily conversations with friends and family. I will make more of an effort in going to church (all meetings of the day), attending the temple and just being a good example in general for my children and everyone around me. I will support my husband in his calling and strive to be a more patient person. I am very grateful for life and for all the blessings I receive on a daily basis. I testify that the gospel is true and know that when I am doing the things I have been taught all my life to do that things will work out and my family and I will be happy. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a man truly called by God to lead and guide us back home. I am grateful for the thought that if I keep the covenants I made with my Heavenly Father, I will have the ability to spend eternity with my family. I know they drive me crazy sometimes (a lof of times..) but at the end of the day I couldn't live without them. I love my family I love this gospel. The church is true! Amen.
Crazy April!
April is a ridiculously crazy month for me. First off there are a million birthdays in my family in April, then it's my Anniversary and of course my Princess turned one on the 25th. I have to say it really did get hectic this year especially.
My husband has a lot to do with our Anniversary being on the 18th and my birthday being the 19th. We spent a couple days at the Grand America in Salt Lake which was a nice little getaway. Went shopping and just hung out. It was great!! I love my hubby. I know I am a hard person to please sometimes and I expect him to know every detail of what I'm thinking and how our anniversary or my birthday should be planned out but he always works it out in the end (sometimes it has to be after a huge fight..lol). So 3 years now I have been married to my Love and although it seems like 10 years with all the babies and craziness, I am absolutely down to spend ETERNITY with this guy!
Eva also turned 1 this April. Boy was that a lot of crazy. I don't know why we do it, but we do. Lol. Big parties for our babies. I know we are setting ourselves up for a lot of work to come in the future with our kids and birthdays but it will work out right?? Lol. I know she's only one but she seemed to enjoy it and I think the real fun part is for us as adults to spend time with all of our family and eat good food. Just an excuse to hang out basically. Haha. But it turned out very well and I do have to acknowledge that these big crazy parties would definitely not be possible without amazing family and friends. We had soo much help that it worked out great!
Chicken Pox. Two weeks before my baby turned one she gets the dang chicken pox. First thought in my mind: "Who gets the chicken pox anymore??" Unfortunate for Eva, she didn't get the booster shot that is supposed to help prevent chicken pox because they don't get the shot til AFTER their 1st birthday. She barely missed it by weeks. But, somewhere between easter and her birthday my princess got the chicken pox and survived without being too uncomfortable. Sad to say she has a lot of scars on her legs due to the dang thing. Good news, Thor didn't get it since he had the shot. He would have definitely been a headache.
